The unique, and perhaps bewildering, series "Upotte!!" wrapped up its ten-episode run fifteen years ago. Set in a high school where the students are personified assault rifles, the story followed the daily lives and combat training of these weapon-girls. It blended military action with ecchi comedy in a premise that was certainly unlike anything else airing at the time.

Despite its niche concept, "Upotte!!" offered a surprisingly detailed look at firearms through its characters, alongside its more outlandish comedic and action elements. For the viewers who embraced its peculiar charm, the finale marked the end of a truly singular, albeit brief, anime experience that dared to be different.
