On This Day in Anime

Released a year ago, Attack on Titan: The Last Attack brought the monumental anime adaptation to a close. This film adaptation of the manga's final arc delivered the visceral gore, military strategy, and desperate Shounen survival that fans had followed for over a decade.

For those invested in Eren Yeager's journey and the fight for humanity's future, this movie served as the ultimate, albeit bleak, payoff. Its high score reflects a narrative that, despite its darkness, successfully concluded one of modern anime's most discussed and impactful series.
