Seven years ago, the first theatrical feature for the franchise hit Japanese theaters. In My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, Izuku Midoriya joins All Might on a trip to I-Island to visit Dave and Melissa, two talented hero equipment engineers, only for a hostile takeover to lock down the entire facility.

Studio Bones delivers a gorgeous, self-contained rescue mission. The film thrives on its simple stakes, giving the rest of Class 1-A plenty of room to show off their developing Quirks.

While the main series later grew increasingly grim, this movie captures the bright, optimistic energy of the early seasons. It remains a joyful reminder of the simple, heroic heart of Deku's journey.
